Taming the Truant Mind

A workshop led by Kamontip Evans

Saturday 20th May 2017

10am - 4pm

London Therapy Foundation

40 Lambert Avenue, Richmond TW9 4QR

Are you:

Anxious about the future?

Bogged down with cluttered or circular thoughts?

Troubled by negative emotions?

Feeling stressed for no apparent reason?

Struggling to cope with the demands of today’s world?

The nature of the mind is to think and to feel – thinking in circles, in the past, in the future, getting stuck in the confusion. Often we try to treat the symptoms of stress rather than the cause, thus the stress lives on in the mind. Captivated by issues that remain unresolved or end unsatisfactorily, the mind will keep recycling them. This workshop uses both the psychobiology of stress and the practice of mindfulness to show you how to manage troublesome thoughts and emotions and how to achieve peace from within.

Kamontip, a former university lecturer and radio programme producer in Thailand, is a teacher of mindfulness mediation and a consultant in stress management. She has studied mindfulness meditation over three decades under several masters in Thailand, India and the UK. She has a Master’s degree in Education and another in the Psychobiology of Stress, where she specialised in whether mindfulness can enhance verbal memory and sleep patterns in menopausal women.

Kamontip blogs on mindfulness for the Huffington Post and her recently published book, Taming the Truant Mind, is now available on Amazon and Kindle.
