Thank you for visiting my profile. I know from my own experience what a big step it is to reach out for help. At some point in our lives, we encounter emotional difficulties. If you are reading this, you may well be feeling that part of your life is troubling you.
Whether it’s something that has happened in your life or you are finding your feelings or relationships with people hard to manage, as a qualified MBACP counsellor, I will offer you a safe, confidential space to listen to you without judgment. I will also help you reflect on how you can grow into the person you want to become.
I will prioritise understanding how you experience the world rather than interpreting your world for you and making assumptions. My focus to do this is by building a trusting, respectful and honest relationship with you in which you feel heard and valued.
I will respect the pace you want to work at and what boundaries you want to set for our work together and encourage you to find your own inner resources and make choices that are right for you.
I have supported people with their mental health for many years and worked across a wide range of counselling settings, including the NHS and charity sector. My clients come from many different walks of life and from diverse communities and I continue to work with charities that provide culturally sensitive counselling.
I am a member of BACP and am guided by their ethical framework.
